      Heyman Rees, age 23 yrs, birthplace: Kowno Russia, parents Barrett Rees and Minnie Bass (Misread early on as Baff). Shown in New York State 1905 census as Herman Rice. Trow's City Directories for 1904/1905 and 1906/ 1907 give his name as Herman Rees. His death record gives his father's name as Berl Rees. A daughter of Hyman and wife #2, Annie Rees Roth of Montreal, Canada, says his mother's name was Minnie Zelicovitz.
