Moe Lituchy, age 92 of Forest Avenue in Albany died on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. Born in NYC, Mr. Lituchy was an Albany resident most of his life. He was a veteran and served during World War II. Moe had been the proprietor of the former Discount Merchandising Company in Albany and was retired. He was a member of Congregation Beth Abraham Jacob in Albany. Moe was married to Anne Pearson Lituchy until her passing in 1996. Loving Father of Stanley Lituchy and his wife Cheryl of Marietta, Georgia and Fran Trela of Clifton Park, NY. Grandfather of Beth Carey.

Born in Warren, he was the son of the late Oscar and Mary (Andrade) Moniz. Manuel was a maintenance supervisor for the General Services Administration before retiring in 1986. He later worked for Payphone, Inc. A master carpenter, he specialized in furniture building. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War, a recipient of the Purple Heart and was a member of the American Legion in Riverside. An avid bowler, he was a member of the Cranston Bowl League. Besides his wife of 40 years he leaves his cherished daughter, Christina Moniz, with whom he and wife resided and his faithful K-9 companion, Maggie. Morton B. Lang of San Diego, Calif. died April 11, 1998.
Mr. Lang was born on March 3, 1919. He was a 24-year resident of Highland Park. Mr. Lang was a partner in the Chicago-based firm of Benjamin & Lang, municipal bond consultants.
Mr. Lang served in World War II as a Tank Commander under the Tenth Armored Division. He remained active in Tenth Armored Division programs and attended reunions. He served as a volunteer board member to his son's Boy Scout Troop and supported the youth music programs known as drum and bugle corps.

Moses Oppenheimer married Mary E. Stoyell on 18 Aug 1891 in Manhattan NY at the bride's Aunt Frances (Mitchell) Roger's home with a "Ceremony of the Friends". Mary was the orphan daughter of Reuben Smith Stoyell of Moravia NY (Abt. 1819-1864) and Jane Gaston (Mitchell) Stoyell (Abt. 1821-1864) of Milan NY who both died of disease within a week of each other in Portage WI in 1864. Mary was born in Mar 1857 in Portage WI and her Aunt Frances "Fanny" adopted her and took her to Plainfield NJ where she graduated from Vassar and took a trip to Europe after graduation in 1877.
She was then hired to oversee NY State's Orphan Asylums and was very active in the US feminist & suffrage movements, having wrote many articles on the same in newspapers and magazines. That's when she met in NYC Moses who had fled Kaiser Germany (Reichstag) who had been targeted by the regime for his Socialist views as a political candidate in Germany, was put in prison several times and finally fled Germany. Moses was also active in the US as a founding member of the US Worker's or Labor Party which in essence was the beginnings of the Socialist or Communist Party in the US. He was also very prolific in his writing and as an political activist in the US. Moses and Mary lived together in NYC the rest of their lives and had no children.
Mary died on 21 Jun 1937 in Bronx NY and, according to her death certificate) is buried in the Ferncliff Cemetery of Hartsdale NY (25 miles from Manhattan). Moses died on 18 May 1936 in Bronx NY
