  Meyer A. Kaplan, age 81, of Alliance, Ohio, died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Brookdale Senior Living. He was born Feb. 17, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Jacob O. and Rachel (Doll) Kaplan. Meyer served as a medic in the Army, a respiratory therapist at The Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati and an associate at TJ Maxx. He loved to frequent local restaurants, played bingo, led activities at the Sterling House and especially loved to attend games/activities/events for his grandsons, Ryan, Shane and Zachary. Surviving are daughter-in-law and caregiver, Lynn (Bower) Kaplan of Alliance; grandsons, Ryan Kaplan of Columbus, Ohio, Shane Kaplan and Zachary Kaplan, both of Alliance; daughter, Hope (Grimes) Kaplan; son-in-law, Greg Grimes; and grandsons, Jacob Grimes and Andrew Grimes, all of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; and son, Jeffrey Kaplan of Alliance. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Ann (Braverman) Kaplan; second wife, Rhoda (Sandburg) Kaplan; and brothers, Sol Kaplan and Harold Kaplan.
