    • FREEMAN - Edward, 83, a resident of South Florida for 25 years formerly of Philadelphia, PA, died May 13, 2000. Loving husband of the late Beatrice. He is survived by his son, Benjamin of New Town Square, PA and daughter, Fran Dorf of Connecticut; his friend and companion of later years, Mary Hodges; and two grandchildren, Jesseka and Rachel. A true gentleman, he was a supporter of humanitarian political causes and a member of the Literacy Volunteers. He loved ballroom dancing and,inhis youth, was a swimmer and track runner. A Veteran of WW II, he worked for many years as a manufacturers' represenative in the automotive industry. Following his retirement he taught bridge became a Life Master and ran duplicate games. Funeral services will be private.
