Notes |
- While at Archives II, in MD, I found papers regarding the death
of "Jushua Dunsky, an American Citizen, in Jerusalem." They are
part of Record Group 59 (1910-1929). Case #367n. 113-Dunsky, Joshua.
According to the paperwork, dated Jan. 31, 1929, Joshua Dunsky, a
naturalized citizen, age 29, died at Hadassah Hospital, Jerusalem
on Nov. 12, 1928. He drowned in the Dead Sea. He was buried the
same day on the Mount of Olives. His personal effects were given
to his father, Israel M. Dunsky, who lived at 14 Netzach Israel
Street, Tel Aviv, Palestine.
Also notified of Joshua's death was his mother, also living in
Tel Aviv (with Israel) and siblings Ben Dunsky and Malka D.
Flaten, 1035 Minister St., Detroit, MI and 356 South Goodman St.,
Rochester, respectively.
