  Manfred Stemmer Block, 54, died Thursday, January 11, 2007. He was a native of Richmond, Virginia and a resident of Norfolk since 1989. Fred was an attorney with Norfolk Southern Corporation for nearly three decades, having received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School and his bachelors degree from Northwestern University. Survivors: Fred is survived by his wife of 17 years, Donna Bausch; sister, Marguerite Maucher, wife of Michael Maucher; nephew, Scott Maucher; niece, Katherine Maucher, all of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Fred M. and Erica Stemmer Block. Services: The family will receive friends in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2007. Interment will be in Pennsylvania.
