- Irwin F. Sclar \endash Huerfano World \endash May 2, 2002 - Irwin F. (Ran) Sclar, of Walsenburg, passed away April 25, 2002 at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Meyer and Sylvia Sclar in 1927. He is survived by his wife, Paula Hiatt, of Walsenburg; sons, Bradley (Carolyn) Sclar, of Boulder, and Randall (Carrie) Sclar, of Evergreen; daughter, Deborah (Brian) Dunn, also of Boulder; four grandchildren, Conrad, Annie, Cooper and Chloe; sister, Harriet (Martin) Kallich, of DeKalb, IL; nephews, John (Louise) Kallich M.D., of DeKalb, IL; and Joel (Susan Jenning) Kallich, of Kitteridge Hills, CA; and cousin, Elliott (Nancy Aries) Sclar. Survived also by first wife, Joyce Rohr, and Olfert Voss. Mr. Sclar was in private psychiatric practice in Boulder from 1962 until his retirement in 1991. He was vice president of the Residents Council at the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Walsenburg, where he resided from August 1999 until the present. He served in the U.S. Army as a 2nd Lieutenant during the Korean War until he was honorable discharged in 1952. Cremation, Almont/Imperial Crematory, Pueblo
