  George S. Friedman of Lyndhurst passed away Feb. 18, surrounded by his loving family. He was 91. George will be remembered for his humor, generosity and love for his wife and children. A native of the Bronx, N.Y., George graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School and attended City College of New York. He lived in Greater Cleveland 60 years. George was co-owner of B.W. Blaushild Dodge and executive vice president of Snappy Car Rental. Upon retirement, he took an interest in cooking, especially baking, and become known for his apple pies and assorted other goodies. George and his wife, Sally Blaushild Friedman, were married 61 years. They were founding members of Congregation Brith Emeth. Also surviving are sons Martin (Sandy Livingston), Paul (Miriam Price) and Ben (Jody Friedlander) and a daughter, Julie (Charles Basham); and six grandchildren: Alexander, Katherine, Alana, Josh, Sarah and Matthew. He was predeceased by his parents, Esther and Meyer Friedman, and siblings Bernard, Paul and Florence. Services were held Feb. 23 at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel. Interment was at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
