      Oedheim Wuerttemberg. Jews settled in Oedheim since the end of the 17th century. Their population reached a peak of 117 in 1858 but declined steadily thereafter. Many were engaged in the cattle trade. A synagogue is mentioned since the first half of the 18th century. A new synagogue was built in 1864. In 1900 38 Jews still lived in the village, in 1933 only fifteen, of whom nine emigrated. Those who remained were deported in 1941/42, five of them perished in the camps. (Among them, Mannheimers and Mergentheimers.)

      Found a Regina Mannheimer, b in Oedheim, m. 1844 to Loeb Westheimer. Parents were Raphael Mannheimer and Nanne Mergentheimer

      Oedheim got its own Jewish cemetary in 1876. Prior to 1876 the cemetery of Neckarsulm was used for burials.
