      GOLDENBERG, MARCEL -
      Marcel Goldenberg, 81 years, of Ossining, died October 29, 2004.
      He was born April 10, 1923 in Manhattan. His family moved to Mohegan Colony when he was 4 years old. He graduated from Peekskill High School in 1939 and went to the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and received a Masters Degree in Metallurgical Engineering.

      While at Michigan, he helped design the engine used in the first space capsule that launched John Glenn.

      He took a job with the M.W. Kellogg Co. in Research & Development, developing rockets to be used in the space program. He next worked for eight years for Kolcast Inc. in Cleveland.
      In 1961, he moved with his family back to his beloved Hudson River in Tarrytown, NY.
      While working for the Continental Ore Corp., he traveled the world exploring mining opportunities for developing countries.

      He was a member of the Board of Directors of Stellar Re.

      Marcel is survived by his wife Juliette of the home address in Ossining, his daughter and son-in-law Diane and Joel Schapira of Lakeville, CT and his granddaughters Kate, Annie and Rachel.
