- Born in Allenstein, Germany his family immigrated to Houston in 1938. He was a WWII veteran - fighting in the Battle of the Bulge, he was one of only six survivors of his combat unit. He worked at the Houston Chronicle as West District Manager and also enjoyed a successful Oil Field Equipment business. Long time member of the Riverbend Country Club and also a member of the Holland Masonic Lodge #1 AF & AM. Survived by his wife Jean, sons: David, Marc, & Jeff; by his daughters: Cynthia & Patricia; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
