Foxe, age 81, passed away Thursday, February 04, 2010 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Foxe was born July 12, 1928 in the Bronx, New York, a daughter of the late Fred and Pearl Strauss Foxe. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Foxe was a homemaker while raising her children and later worked as a Customer Service Representative in the banking industry. As a young woman in the Bronx she enjoyed dancing and especially ballet. Later in life, her friends and family affectionately referred to Mrs. Foxe as 'Foxe Lady." She always took great pride in her appearance. Mrs. Foxe enjoyed shopping and being with family and friends. In her later years even when she couldn't travel as much she would keep in touch by telephone. Survivors include her three daughters, Leslie Rosa and her husband, John, of Atlanta, GA, June Hiller and her fiancée, Dennis Hahn, of Myrtle Beach, Marci Irwin and her fiancée, Dan Barret, of Flagler Beach, FL; her sister, Dorothy DeRuve and her husband, Arthur, of Yonkers, NY; her granddaughter, Kristina Rosa of Atlanta, GA; and her three nieces, Susan, Laura, and Linda. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Sunday, February 07, 2010 at the Chapel of McMillan-Small Funeral Home with Rabbi David Weisman officiating. Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the friends and staff of Grand Strand Healthcare for their support and love over the last year and a half.
