  First child, Lily, born out of wedlock in Lausanne, Switzerland, where she was fostered by an elderly Swiss couple. Else, aged 16 when Lily was born was told that the baby was stillborn. Following emigration from Germany to the USA with her parents and sister, Else eventually marrried the father, Eric Seelig, and then gave birth to another daughter, Erica. After 9 years Else and Eric divorced. Lily wanted to find her natural parents, following the death of both her forster parents. At the age of 46 Lily succeeded in tracing Else to Los Angeles. At the subsequent reunion in Los Angeles Lily met her father, grandmother (Else's mother), and full sister, whilst Else met Lily's husband and Lily's two adult sons.
