- Lora Lee Lang passed away May 3rd, 2018, 88 years after her birth in Ludwigshafen, Germany. In 1937, as an eight year-old, she came with her sister Ruth (Meyer), and parents Thilde and Frank Heilbronner, to America eventually settling down in Hyde Park on Chicago's South Side. It was there on Chicago's lakefront where she met the man who would become her husband of 45 years, Morton B. Lang. Lee and Mort raised four boys, Bill, Steve, Rob and John in Highland Park. Once retired they moved to Rancho Bernardo, CA. Lee moved back to Chicago upon Mort's death and enjoyed a long stay at Sedgebrook in Lincolnshire. In lieu of flowers, Lee, who loved to sing throughout her life, would be very pleased if donations were sent to the Songs by Heart Foundation, an organization connecting people with memory loss to the language and joy of music:
