- STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Marion Lorito, 66, of Bay Terrace, a retired project manager and Eucharistic minister, died Sunday at home.
Born Marion Tepper in Brooklyn, she graduated from Bay Ridge High School and moved to Bay Terrace with her husband in the early 1960s.
She worked as a project manager for a real estate company for many years, and retired in 2003.
Mrs. Lorito was an active member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Willowbrook, for over 20 years. She was co-chair of the Luncheon Raffle Committee for many years, and was a member of the Walk-A-Thon Committee, St. Vincent's Residential Services Family Committee and the Refreshment Committee. From 1999 to 2005, she served on NAMI's board of directors.
Mrs. Lorito also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
She was a parishioner of St. Charles R.C. Church, Oakwood, where she served as a Eucharistic minister for several years.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Vincent Lorito; her four sons, John, Jerry, Vincent and Tony; a daughter, Tina Post; a brother, Ira; a sister, Barbara Layden, and seven grandchildren.
Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
