  Before the war, Leonie moved to live in her sister Rosa's family home in Glan Munchweiler The sister herself immigrated to the USA in 1939. According to Wessner. According to Yad Vashem, Leoni did live before the war in the same place above, and her place of death is the Gires camp. However, she does not appear in the lists of the victims of the camp. According to information provided by Carola Schwartz Leonie made it out of Gires alive and lived out her life afterwards in Cresy sur Aix
