Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 8, 1934, Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Fay Smulian Pfeifer and Eugene M. Pfeifer, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Roger Horchow; her daughters, Regen Fearon and her husband Jeffrey, Lizzie Routman and her husband Dan, and Sally Horchow McCauley and her husband Christopher; her granddaughters, Samantha Pillsbury, Regen Routman, Emily Routman, Fiona Fearon, and Sabrina Fearon; and her brother, Eugene M. Pfeifer, III, his wife Linda, and his children and grandchildren. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HORCHOW--Carolyn Pfeifer, a part-time resident of New York, passed away in her home in Dallas on June 15, 2009 after a long illness. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 8, 1934, Carolyn is survived by her husband of 49 years, Roger Horchow; her daughters, Regen Fearon and her husband Jeffrey, Lizzie Routman and her husband Dan, and Sally Horchow McCauley and her husband Christopher; her granddaughters, Samantha Pillsbury, Regen Routman, Emily Routman, Fiona Fearon, and Sabrina Fearon; and her brother, Eugene M. Pfeifer, III, his wife Linda, and his children and grandchildren. Carolyn was a graduate of Connecticut College and a co-founder of The Horchow Collection. She served on the Board of Directors of UT Southwestern Zale Lipshy Hospital and on the Honorary Board of The Modern Museum of Fort Worth. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a member of several charitable organizations, including The Charter 100 of Dallas, Crystal Charity Ball, Dallas Women's Foundation, Planned Parenthood of North Texas, Sweetheart Ball, and The Visiting Nurse Association of Texas.
