  • Notes
    • KAY ELLEN STRAUSS, 58, of Fort Wayne, left this world on Sunday, June 14, 2015.

Born Nov. 16, 1956, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Alice (Oehler) Strauss.

Kay conducted her life with dignity and always added humor, wit and so much joy to the family.

Kay was a talented artist who appreciated color and beauty everywhere. Kay held three degrees of higher education and articulated beautifully in thoughtful letters, cards and artwork to family members and friends throughout her life. She was an example of the utmost courage throughout her adult battle with illnesses- never giving up. Kay gifted her family with cherished works of art: paintings and portraits lovingly made for all. She loved her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Surviving are her siblings, Joni (Jerry) Sweeney, Carol Strauss, Sally Smith, and H. Stephen Strauss, all who loved her dearly.
