    • Rodger D. Bartlett, a great Golden Valley Rotarian passed away at the age 88 of Golden Valley. Survived by wife, Angeline K Bartlett; daughters, Shane (Steve) Holonitch, Camille Hetman & Elizabeth Bartlett; grandchildren, Carrie and Anita Claypatch; Thomas and Paul Bartlett. Preceded in death by son, Gary Bartlett and daughter Kim Bartlett. Rodger was born in Lake Odessa, Michigan. Rodger received his MA in Music at Wayne State University leading him to Cleveland State Hospital working as a Music Therapist for several years. He moved to Minneapolis where he dedicated 50+ years of service in sales & marketing to DeVac Inc. and MonRay. He played an active role in the Golden Valley Rotary Club with many of those years spent in the International Youth Exchange program. Rodger used music to express himself throughout his lifetime, both personally and professionally. He played both string bass and trombone with a variety of local jazz musicians in the metro area. In addition to his music Rodger loved sharing time with his family whether it be around the dinner table, singing at a family reunion or on the golf course. The day before he died he celebrated his 88th birthday surrounded by family and friends. He passed peacefully in the loving care of the Benedictine Health Center of Minneapolis and Twin Cities Hospice. Rodger will remain in the hearts of those who love him.
