- Esther Dunn, beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt and friend, died peacefully at her home in Santa Monica, California on April 3, 2009. Esther was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on March 14, 1916, and moved to California with her husband, I. Jay Dunn, in 1944. In Los Angeles, she raised her family and worked as a teacher and tutor for more than 40 years. She was loved and appreciated by all who knew her for her graciousness, humor, warmth, wise counsel and highly developed aesthetic sensibility. Esther enjoyed reading and travel, and was an active and enthusiastic member of the Analytical Psychology Club of Los Angeles. She adored her grandchildren and spending time with her family. Esther was predeceased by her husband, who passed away in 1968. She is survived by her sons, Peter Dunn and Richard Dunn, her grandchildren, Seth Cohen, Aaron Dunn, Sarah Dunn and Rebecca Dunn, and her daughters-in-law, Leslie Dunn and Susan Dunn.
